KS1 Teaching Assistant – Newcastle

Are you a Level 2 qualified Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge within a Primary School in Newcastle? The role is working alongside the class teacher, supporting the general needs within KS1 and supporting children who need extra guidance and support.

AK Teaching is working with a school based in Newcastle. The school are looking for a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant to work in Year 1/2.

The school aims to develop students with high self-esteem and positive attitudes to learning and play. The incoming Teaching Assistant will have the opportunity to work within a warm and welcoming staff team, who emphasises providing a supportive and inclusive school environment.

The role is a full-time, long-term position potentially rolling on into the next academic year.

Job specifications

• Experience working within SEN, EYFS or KS1 is essential
• Have a Level 2/3 Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift – 08.30 – 15.30
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
