Primary Teaching Assistant (NE4)

JOB DESCRIPTION

AK Teaching is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive Teaching Assistant to work in one of our partner schools based in the West End of Newcastle (NE4). This role would involve supporting a child on a 1:1 basis who has additional needs. This role will start ASAP and potentially be for the remainder of the Academic year!

JOB ROLE

Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

• Working with groups of children or working with pupils on a 1-2-1 basis
• Supporting these pupils with the full National Curriculum to all ranges
• Working with children who have additional SEND needs
• Supporting the class teacher across the whole class when required

JOB CANDIDATE

• Ideally, be Level 2 TA qualification or above
• Have knowledge or experience working with children with SEN
• Mainly looking for an individual with a caring nature
• Team Teach desirable but not essential
