AK Teaching is currently seeking qualified and experienced Teaching Assistants to join a dynamic team at a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) School in Whitley Bay. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing atmosphere for students to thrive.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar setting is highly beneficial.
  • A DBS on the update service is required, or applicants must be willing to fund and apply for one through AK Teaching.
  • Flexibility to work with students of various ages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
