We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join a reputable school in North Tyneside.
Job Description: We are looking for a qualified SEND Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in an SEND setting, although this is desired rather than mandatory.
Candidates with either a primary or secondary specialism are encouraged to apply. The role involves working Monday to Friday, with no weekend work required.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEND.
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with teaching assistants and other professionals to support student progress.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with school policies.
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through AK Teaching.
Prior experience working in an SEND setting (desired).
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.
