SEND Teacher

Are you an experienced SEND Teacher with a passion for making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs and disabilities? AK Teaching, a reputable education recruitment agency, is currently seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join an established SEND provision in Whitley Bay.

Position: SEND Teacher
Location: Whitley Bay
Contract: Full-time, Monday – Friday (No weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEND.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive behavior and academic progress.
• Collaborate with other staff members, parents, and external agencies to develop personalized learning plans for students.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to support their development.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with prior experience working in an SEND setting.
• Strong understanding of SEND regulations, interventions, and strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
