Position Overview: We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate SEND Teachers to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. As a SEND Teacher working through AK Teaching, you will have the opportunity to work in various SEND provisions, helping students with diverse learning requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons, catering to the specific needs of SEND learners.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and other professionals.
• Monitor and track student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure the best possible learning outcomes.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check on the update service is required, or applicants must be willing to apply for a new one.
• Previous experience working with SEND learners is beneficial.
• A commitment to the principles of inclusivity and diversity in education.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong classroom management skills.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday, no weekends.
