Job Description:

AK Teaching is currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Year 1) for a temporary, full-time position in the NE12 area. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting a student in Year 1 on a one-to-one basis, contributing to their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to a Year 1 student on a one-to-one basis.

Assist with classroom activities and ensure the student’s engagement.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.

A genuine passion for supporting the educational development of young learners.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff.
Essential Criteria:

Current DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through AK Teaching.

Relevant qualifications or experience in education.

Ability to commit to a full-time position, Monday until Friday.
