1:1 Teaching Assistant (NE6)

Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Byker (NE6)
Working Days: Monday to Friday (No Weekends)

AK Teaching, a leading education recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in the Byker (NE6) area. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on a student’s learning journey and contribute to their overall educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student with specific learning needs.
Assist the student in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
Implement strategies to support the student’s social and emotional development.
Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.
Monitor and record the student’s progress, providing regular feedback to the teaching team.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within an educational setting.
A passion for supporting the individual needs of students and promoting their overall well-being.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must hold a current DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through AK Teaching.

Working Hours:

Full-time position, Monday to Friday (No Weekends).
Specific working hours to be discussed with the successful candidate.
