Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, assisting them in accessing the curriculum and achieving their educational goals.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement individualized learning plans and strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.
- Assist with the personal care and hygiene needs of students, as required.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.
Requirements:
- Possession of a valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
- Full driving licence is desirable but not essential.
- Prior experience working in a school-based setting is desirable but not essential.
- Flexibility and willingness to work with students across a range of ages and abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
