Unqualified Teaching Assistant

AK Teaching is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Unqualified Teaching Assistants to join our team for a provision based in Blyth. As a teaching assistant, you will be working closely with primary aged learners with SEND, providing vital support to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans for students with SEND.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students as needed, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborating with other staff members and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students with SEND.
  • Assisting with classroom activities, including preparing materials and resources.

Requirements:

  • DBS on the update service or willingness to apply and pay for one through AK Teaching.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work with a range of ages, although primary aged learners will be the primary focus.
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting is highly beneficial.
  • Passion for working with children with SEND and helping them achieve their potential.
