AK Teaching, a leading education recruitment agency, is seeking dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistants to work in a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision in Ashington. We are looking for individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEND in various subjects.
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create an effective learning experience.
Support students with their daily routines and personal care when necessary.
Help to maintain a safe and secure learning environment.
Requirements:
A genuine passion for working with students with SEND.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility, patience, and a caring nature.
A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate on the update service is essential. If you do not possess one, you must be willing to purchase a new one through AK Teaching.
