Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Year 6 Teaching Assistant to support the class teacher in providing high-quality education and care for our students. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to assist with the planning and delivery of lessons, provide one-on-one support for students when necessary, and contribute to maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to the Year 6 class teacher in lesson planning and preparation.
Offer one-on-one and small-group support to students as required.
Assist in the management of classroom behaviour and provide a positive learning environment.
Help with the preparation and maintenance of classroom resources and materials.
Monitor and track student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements:
Ideally holds either Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certificate (or equivalent)
Relevant experience working with children, preferably within a primary school setting.
A patient and nurturing approach towards supporting children’s learning and development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for education and a commitment to ensuring the well-being of students.
