AK Teaching is seeking dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join an SEND provision in Blyth.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with diverse special educational needs and disabilities.
Implement effective behaviour management strategies to support students’ learning and development.
Collaborate with teaching staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Assist in the delivery of differentiated lessons and activities to meet individual student needs.
Support students with personal care and mobility, if required.
Requirements:
A valid and enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to apply for one through AK Teaching.
Strong behaviour management skills and prior experience working with students with special needs, especially in a school setting.
Flexibility and adaptability to work with students of varying ages, from primary to secondary level.
Compassionate, patient, and resilient attitude towards supporting students with SEND.
