AK Teaching is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Unqualified Teaching Assistants in a local SEN (Special Educational Needs) school in Blyth. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience working in a supportive and rewarding environment, supporting children with additional needs from Primary through to Secondary age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils.
Work with students in small groups or 1:1 to support their learning and personal development.
Assist in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction among pupils.
Help with personal care tasks, where necessary, to ensure the well-being of students.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a school setting or working with children is highly beneficial.
Must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
Passion for working with children with SEN, with patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
Flexibility to work with a range of ages from Primary to Secondary.
