Job Title: Learning Support Worker – Special Educational Needs School

Location: West End, Newcastle

Contract Type: Temporary (Supply basis)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of learners with special educational needs? We are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Worker to join our team at a Special Educational Needs School located in the vibrant West End of Newcastle. This temporary role, with the potential to go permanent, involves working with learners across the full school spectrum from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to post-16, with a focus on Autism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to learners with special educational needs, including those with Autism, across various age groups.
• Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans.
• Comfortable with personal care tasks as required.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• While qualifications are not essential, we welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience in support work, youth work, or similar backgrounds.
• A genuine passion for working with learners who have special needs.
• Experience with Autism spectrum disorders is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
