AK Teaching are on the lookout for a passionate and enthusiastic Humanities teacher to work closely with one of our partnered Secondary schools in Gateshead.
Overview:
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on students’ lives through education? As a Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive learning environment for students with diverse educational needs. This position offers flexibility in working hours and the opportunity to enhance your teaching skills while contributing to the academic success of our students.
Duties:
– Support vulnerable children with special educational needs such as AD, ADHD, and SEMH.
– Assist students in developing their skills and achieving their academic potential.
– Build strong relationships with students requiring additional support and create a nurturing learning environment.
– Demonstrate patience and empathy, particularly when working with students with SEMH.
– Adapt teaching methods to cater to students aged 11 to 18 effectively.
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
– QTS/PGCE in Humanities related subject;
– Effective behaviour management skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
– Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
– Ideally hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
