Job Description:
As a Year 6 LSA/Unqualified TA, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of students in their final year of primary school. You will work closely with the class teacher and other staff members to create a positive and nurturing learning environment, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Classroom Support: Support the Year 6 teacher by assisting with classroom management, lesson preparation, and the delivery of engaging and interactive lessons.
2. Individualised Support: Work with students on a one-on-one or small group basis to provide targeted assistance with their academic and social development, helping them overcome challenges and build confidence.
3. Assessment: Assist in assessing student progress, maintaining records, and reporting on student achievements to parents and relevant school staff.
4. Behaviour Management: Implement behaviour management strategies and promote a positive and respectful classroom environment.
5. Inclusive Education: Support students with special educational needs and ensure that they have access to a curriculum tailored to their requirements.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working as a LSA/Unqualified Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting is a must!
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
