Unqualified Teaching Assistant

AK Teaching are currently working in partnership with multiple schools across Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland. Our partner schools are looking for unqualified teaching assistants to work in SEN provisions, helping pupils with varying additional needs. You will be supported with on site training once per week.

The roles we can offer will involve working on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.

Applicants must be resilient and have a willingness to support the children and help them reach their potential.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a passion to work with learners that have special educational needs and make a positive impact on their daily learning
  • Hold a fully enhanced child DBS on the update service or be willing to process a new one
  • Experience working with special educational needs or in a similar care and support background
