Teaching Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION

AK Teaching are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and pro-active Teaching Assistant to work in one of our partner schools based in Sunderland. This role would involve supporting a child on a 1:1 basis who has additional needs. This role is set to start after the Easter Break and will be up until the end of the year.

JOB ROLE

Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

• Working with groups of children or working with pupils on a 1-2-1 basis
• Supporting these pupils with the full National Curriculum to all ranges
• Working with children who have additional SEND needs
• Supporting the class teacher across the whole class when required

JOB CANDIDATE

• Ideally be Level 2 TA qualification or above
• Have knowledge or experience working with children with SEN
• Mainly looking for an individual with a caring nature
• Team Teach desirable but not essential
