AK Teaching is currently seeking a Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the Sacriston area of Durham (DH7), working with all Key Stages.

Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant 
Location: Sacriston, Durham (DH7)
Contract Type: Temporary, with potential for permanent placement
Start Date: September 2024
Pay: 
£85-£100 per day

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons for all students. Your responsibilities will include assisting with classroom activities, providing one-on-one support to students who may require additional help, and contributing to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your dedication and support will play a crucial role in helping students to achieve their full potential academically and socially.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with young children is advantageous, but not essential. Enthusiastic individuals with a passion for education and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, teachers, and staff.
  • A genuine passion for helping children succeed in their educational journey and a commitment to their well-being and development.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles and individual needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable, but not essential.
  • Enhanced DBS check (AK Teaching can assist with this if needed).
