AK Teaching is looking for a dedicated Sports Coach (Learning Support Assistant) to join our team and make a meaningful impact in an SEND provision in Bedlington.
Role Overview:
Working with secondary aged pupils with ASD, ADHD, and challenging behaviours.
Using sports and physical activities to engage and support students in their learning and development.
Collaborating with teachers and support staff to create inclusive and stimulating learning environments.
Providing one-on-one and group support to students during sports sessions.
Requirements:
An enhanced DBS on the update service is required, or applicants must be willing to apply for one through AK Teaching.
Prior experience working in a similar setting is highly beneficial for this role.
Passion for sports and a desire to make a positive impact on students’ lives.
Ability to adapt coaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with SEND.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday (no weekends).
