We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Specialist Support Assistant to work one-on-one with a child in Key Stage 2 at our client school in Leeds. This role is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on a child’s educational journey and well-being.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1-1 support to a KS2 student with special educational needs
  • Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials as needed
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist with the student’s social and emotional development
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO and parents to ensure comprehensive support

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Knowledge of strategies and interventions to support learning and development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy and a commitment to student welfare
  • Availability to start in September 2024
