Primary School SEND Support

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND 1-1 Support Assistant to work within Key Stage 1 with multiple children, starting as soon as possible. This is a full-time position, with the potential for permanency for the right candidate.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individualised support to children with SEND, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Implementing tailored educational and behavioural strategies to help children achieve their learning goals.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents and external professionals to create and maintain a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitoring and recording the progress of students, adapting approaches as necessary.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEND, particularly ASD, S+L difficulties and ADHD, is essential.
  • A patient, empathetic and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
