AK teaching are looking for an enthusiastic individual to support pupils with particular individual needs, working in small groups and generally supporting the whole class. The purpose of the role is to create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils’ work. The role is a full time position starting in September based in Middlesbrough!
JOB ROLE
The roles and responsibilities of teaching assistants are:
Getting the classroom ready for lessons
Leading group activities
Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks
Helping teachers to plan learning activities and complete records
Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour
IDEAL CANDIDATE
You must have:
An ability to build good working relationships with both pupils and adults
Good organisational skills
Flexibility and creativity
Enjoy working with children
Ability to manage groups of pupils and deal with challenging behaviour
Patience and a sense of humour
A level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or Educational Degree
Experience working in schools or educational settings
A valid DBS (Can apply if needed)
Eligibility to work in the UK (Two references, including your current or most recent employer)
