AK Teaching are looking for 6 x Learning Support Assistants to work in one of our PMLD schools in Gateshead. The roles are to start in September 2023 with the potential to go from temp to perm for the right candidate.
You will be working with students who have profound, multiple learning disabilites so you must be comfortable in this type of setting. We welcome applications from candidates who have worked in Support Work, PA and Care Assistant roles. Any candidates who have experience with peg feeding, hoists and moving and handling trained will also be fantastic for this role!
The role is Monday – Friday and you will be working within the hours of 8:30am – 4:00pm. If you are not able to work these hours, we cannot put you forward for role. You will need to have a DBS on the update service ideally, or be willing to get a new DBS.
