Contract: Supply with Temp to Perm options

On be half of a partner trust of ours we are actively recruiting for a teacher of Mathematics, to join a friendly and supportive secondary school based in Leeds, LS9. Due to having a very experience department we are able to open this role to all teaching levels including ECT’s.

We are seeking an a dedicated Maths teacher who is open to cross department collaboration. The department is coming off the back of some great results last year and predictions for a stronger set of results this summer. This is a very well rounded department and a great time to join. The role will include teaching and coordinating the delivery of Maths at KS3 and GCSE across year groups 7 to 11. You will work with the Head of Mathematics (SLT Member) to enhance the provision and will get the chance to get involved with exciting project work throughout the year. 

The appointed candidate will benefit from working alongside a highly experienced department of Mathematics practitioners, alongside support from a highly visible SLT team.

The trust is seeking teachers who can inspire learners and would urge candidates with fresh ideas to get in touch!

The teacher must have:

  • a UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT  with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • a relevant Mathematics Degree or a related subject
  • experience of delivering Maths up to GCSE, pushing and engaging learners to progress within the subject
  • CHILD ONLY DBS on the UPDATE SERVICE – or be willing to apply for one right away!
