Learning Support Assistant (NE46)

AK Teaching are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis, working within a Secondary aged learner with additional needs in Northumberland (NE46). This role involves supporting a learner who requires personal care.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Providing tailored support to students in their daily learning activities.
Assisting with personal care needs as required.
Engaging with learners to foster their social, emotional, and educational development.
Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours in a positive and professional manner.

Requirements:

Experience working with individuals with Autism, ADHD, or similar SEND needs is highly desirable.
Comfortable providing personal care support.
A fully enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one (cost to be covered by the applicant).
Ability to provide references covering the last 2 years.
A background in Health and Social Care, Education, or Sports is preferred but not essential.
