Learning Support Assistant

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of learners with special educational needs? We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Learning Support Workers at our Special Educational Needs School in Marske.

About Us:
Our school provides comprehensive education and support to learners from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Post-16, catering to a diverse range of special educational needs, including Autism, moderate learning difficulties, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance to learners across the full school spectrum.
  • Assist with personal care tasks as required.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to deliver tailored learning experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Passion for working with learners who have special educational needs.
  • Comfortable with personal care responsibilities.
  • Previous experience in support work, youth work, or similar backgrounds is advantageous.
  • Qualifications are not essential, but relevant certifications or training are desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
