If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of learners with special educational needs, AK Teaching are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team on a temporary supply basis in Teesside
Work closely with learners in a classroom setting who have special educational needs, including autism, MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), and other complex needs.
Provide one-on-one and group support to learners, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to thrive academically and emotionally.
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised learning programs.
Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes social and academic growth.
Collaborate with teachers and specialists to address the unique needs of each learner.
Provide personal care and support as required, ensuring learners’ well-being and comfort.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to learner progress and development.
Qualifications and Experience:
Level 2/3 Health and Social Care qualification (not essential).
Previous experience in care and support, ideally in an educational or similar setting.
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with learners with special educational needs.
A solid understanding of safeguarding principles and a strong commitment to learner well-being.
