AK Teaching are working with a Special Educational Needs school in the West End of Newcastle that are looking for enthusiastic and inspiring Learning Support Assistants. You will provide support for learners with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD and Moderate Learning Difficulties. You will also support the class teacher and encourage learners to communicate and engage within the classroom.
This role requires applicants to work between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm, you must be open to working across all key stages.
Successful candidate will:
– Hold a level 2/3 in Supported Teaching and Learning or Health and Social Care (Desired not Essential)
– Be confident and enthusiastic
– Have experience working with young people (or similar experience)
– Have good organisational and management skills
– Have a drive to work in education
– Have good problem-solving skills
Those interested in the role will also need to have a DBS on the update service – we will be able to help with this process if you do not have one yet.
