Responsibilities

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant with a focus on SEND, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to children with SEND, helping them to achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver differentiated lessons and activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support students with personal care, if required.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with classroom management and organisation.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children with SEND is essential.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of students.
