AK Teaching are currently working closely with a Primary school in the Chester-le-Street area. This primary school who pride themselves on their relentless pursuit of excellence are looking to recruit a Year 2 Primary Teacher to add to their KS1 department to start in May to cover the maternity leave of their current Primary Teacher. This would be a very rewarding and exciting position for either newly qualified or fully qualified primary teachers with support and enjoyment at the heart of the school’s development.

Having a strong understanding of Phonics is essential for this role.

As a Year 2 Primary Teacher, you would be joining a school with very clear values and this is something that is very much supported and guided through as a new starter within the school. The headteacher has a strong senior leadership team that will support the new teacher.

The Role:

• Year 2 Primary Teacher
• Long Term 1 year contract
• September start
• No particular needs in this specific class – broadly average SEN and EAL needs
• Joining a welcoming and enjoyable Key Stage 1 department
