Inclusion Support Worker

AK Teaching are looking to speak with patient, passionate and caring Support Workers to join a partner school within the Newton Aycliffe area. This will be to provide care and support for young people who have been diagnosed with a Social, Emotional and Mental Health condition such as Autism, ADHD etc. This role also will include working with young people with challenging behaviours, so you will need to be resilient.

Duties:
– Provide support and assistance to individuals with physical & emotional disabilities
– Assist with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
– Help individuals participate in social and recreational activities
– Monitor and report any changes in behaviour or health status to supervisors
– Maintain accurate records of services provided

Requirements:
– Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Compassionate and patient demeanour
– Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license is preferred however not essential
