AK Teaching are searching for an enthusiastic and reliable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support one of our primary academies based in Sunderland. The role would involve covering PPA, and is set to start the first week back in September.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide flexible support across a range of age groups.
Work on a 1:1 basis with children who require additional support.
Collaborate with class teachers to implement lesson plans and support small groups.
Manage and respond to challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism.
Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
Hold a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
Relevant HLTA or Teaching qualification.
Completed safeguarding and classroom management training.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to varying classroom needs across ages.
