Role and Responsibilities:

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic food technology lessons to students in KS3
  • Develop and implement a creative curriculum that meets educational standards and inspires students.
  • Guide students through practical cooking sessions, emphasising safety, hygiene, and nutritional value.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and participate in school events.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification/QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Experience teaching food technology or related subjects is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of food science, nutrition, and culinary skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about teaching and able to inspire students of all abilities.
  • Ability to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
