Calling all current ECT’s and current PGCE Students

Area: Bradford, BD4, BD5, BD6, BD9, BD12

Our client secondary schools are based in Leeds, Bradford, Kirklees, Huddersfield and Calderdale and together we are looking to recruit a number of ECT’s who will be fully vetted/cleared and ready to interview for upcoming September 2023 job roles, in their schools. September is now just around the corner for school recruitment and for senior leaders, it is a major focus.

Delaying the process could result in you missing many of the current teaching roles that schools are recruiting for and many more they will soon be advertising!

To be considered for this teaching role in BRADFORD, ideally you will be: a current PGCE student or hold ECT status:

• Have experience working with secondary age students.
• Have flexible availability and be able to work within an ever changing environment.
• Have the ability to use public transport or have their own vehicle.
• Experience leading and delivering planned work to group of children aged 11+
• The ability to manage challenging behaviour
• A calm and punctual manner – excellent time keeping
• A fully enhanced DBS certificate on the DBS update service (can be applied for through AK Teaching)

Although we have clients in all of the surrounding LEA’s, I am specifically looking for current PGCE students and ECT’s that live and want to work in our BRADFORD secondary schools. Right now we are seeing such a teacher shortage that many of our ECT’s are securing security almost instantly – 2-3 years ago this just did not happen. It was also a case of SLT telling us, “can they go away and get more experience”. Those days have gone and this is a great time to be an ECT in and around Leeds.

Our schools are based at every corner of the City and a large majority of them have easy access to public transport, for those who do not drive!
