Early Careers Teacher (Primary)

About AK Teaching: AK Teaching is searching for a passionate Early Careers Teacher (ECT) with exciting opportunities arising in the Wakefield area. This role will be based in Primary education, including Early Years, KS1, and KS2, starting in September. If you are enthusiastic about making a positive impact in education and ready to embark on a fulfilling teaching career, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons based on lesson plans to students of varying learning levels.
  • Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers to track children’s progress and development.
  • Implement classroom management strategies to ensure a conducive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain a new one.
  • Understanding of delivering the national curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Disclaimer: Can be booked out as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HTLA) until more experience has been gained.
