A large Secondary School in Huddersfield are looking to recruit a Drama Teacher/Performing Arts to start from March 2024. This role is a long-term position, up until the end of the academic year – The School are keen to find the correct person and will work around the appointed candidate.

The school prides itself on the ambitious, creative and supportive team of Teachers they have appointed throughout the school and has been one the reason for the school’s recent success. The school offers plenty of CPD opportunities for teachers and staff.

This role has also been opened up to ECT’s. The School has a proven bespoke and successful ECT induction programme that has shaped some fantastic teachers/leaders across the School.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Drama/Performing Arts
• Teaching KS3,4 & 5 if you have experience
• Fantastic ECT induction – Supportive and bespoke
• Motivating and inspiring young learners
• Start – asap – Full Time – Long Term role
• Located in the Huddersfield area

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Must have UK QTS
• You must be able to work effectively as part of a growing team
• Good understanding of the Drama/Performing Arts curriculum
• Must be able to motivate and inspire the younger generation
• You must meet most of the teaching standards to a ‘Good or Outstanding’ level

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH AK TEACHING YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK

• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application (we can assist with this)

• Provide two professional references
