Role Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistants to join our dynamic team. As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to students and teachers, stepping in to cover short-term and long-term absences and ensuring a consistent and high-quality educational experience for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom environment.
Support individual or small groups of students with their learning, tailoring your approach to meet diverse needs.
Help prepare learning materials and resources as required.
Supervise students during break times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Support students with additional needs, implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the class teacher and special educational needs coordinator (SENCO).
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, fostering respect and encouragement.
Perform other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the school.
What We Are Looking For:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Adaptability and the ability to work flexibly across different classrooms and year groups.
A patient and empathetic nature, with a genuine interest in supporting children’s learning and development.
Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
A commitment to maintaining the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies.
Relevant qualifications, such as a Teaching Assistant certificate, are an advantage.
