AK Teaching are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and pro-active Teaching Assistant to work in one of our partner schools based in Wakefield. This role would involve supporting a child on a 1:1 basis who has additional needs but also involves general TA work, working alongside the class teacher. This role is set to start in September on a temporary to perm basis.
JOB ROLE
Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
- Prepare and develop resources if necessary
- Working with groups of children or working with pupils on a 1:1 basis
- Supporting these pupils with the full National Curriculum to all ranges
- Supporting the class teacher across the whole class when required
- Being both flexible and adaptable
JOB CANDIDATE
- Ideally be Level 2 TA qualification or above
- Have knowledge or experience working with children with SEN
- Mainly looking for an individual with a caring nature
- A valid DBS on the update service (Can apply if needed)
