Position: Team Teach SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Partner School in Gateshead
Contract: Full-Time/ Part-Time, Temporary-to-Permanent

Description:

AK Teaching is looking for a compassionate and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a partner school in Gateshead. The successful candidate will provide support to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with individualised education plans (IEPs).
• Providing one-on-one or small group support.
• Helping to create an inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children with SEND.
• Knowledge of SEND strategies and interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience and a positive attitude.
• Team Teach trained.
