Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a SEND Teacher in a dynamic SEND school based in Northumberland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, tailored education to students with SEND
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet each student’s unique needs
  • Maintain strong behaviour management strategies to create a safe and conducive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, support staff, and parents to ensure comprehensive support for students
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching methods accordingly

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply and pay for one through AK Teaching
  • Subject specialists are encouraged to apply

Beneficial Experience:

  • Prior experience working in an SEND provision is highly beneficial but not essential

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, no weekends
