I’m on the lookout for some SEMH trained support staff to help some of my growing client schools in Leeds. The MAT is in need of staff to start in March. These roles can be flexible to work around your current commitments or full time.
Working in SEMH ( Social Emotional Mental Health ) is an extremely rewarding experience. You will be helping children with emotional issues, trauma and behavioural difficulties. You can make a massive impact on the life of these children and help them through there school years. In some cases, reintegrating them into mainstream schools.
The ideal candidate will need to:
•Use creative approaches within curriculum development, to meet the needs of a range of complex SEND needs.
•SEND experience to suite different types of students and learning plans.
•Be able to use a range of strategies like giving praise and positive reinforcements.
•Positive consistent and proactive approach to behaviour management.
•An overall positive attitude, enthusiasm, energy, nurturing nature and good verbal and written communication.
•Ability to differentiate when working with multiple children and support to learning.
•Being flexible with different ages will be helpful as the ages range from 11-19.
•You can be working full time, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:30am-4:00pm or in the case you want part time your hours can be discussed.
•Ideally you will have a DBS on the update service, or one issued within the last year. If your DBS is not on the update service, you will need to get a new one. We will assist you to get a new DBS if necessary.
*If you have lived outside of the UK for a period of 6 months or more in the last 5 years, you will need to produce an overseas criminal clearance check before we could start the registration process.
*If you were born outside of the United Kingdom (UK) you will have to produce your share code to show you have the right to work in the UK before we could start the registration process
