AK Teaching, a reputable education recruitment agency, is currently recruiting a Science Teacher for an SEN (Special Educational Needs) school in Blyth. This exciting opportunity involves working with secondary-aged pupils but teaching to a primary curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons tailored to the primary curriculum for secondary-aged students.
  • Understand and address the diverse needs of pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Manage challenging behaviours effectively, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support individualized education plans for students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in an SEN setting, particularly with pupils exhibiting SEMH needs.
  • Proven ability to manage challenging behaviours in a classroom setting.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through AK Teaching.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday (No weekends)
