Position: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Gateshead
Employment Type: Full-Time, Monday – Friday
Contract Type: Temporary

  • Provide invaluable support to students with SEND in a school environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional development.
  • Adapt to the diverse needs of students and be flexible in working with a variety of age groups.


  • Prior experience in a school setting is highly beneficial.
  • Crucial experience working with SEND students in the past.
  • Availability for full-time work (Monday – Friday).
  • Openness to work with a wide range of ages as and when required.
  • An enhanced DBS check on the update service or a willingness to apply for one through AK Teaching.
