Role Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Teaching Assistant to join our team, specializing in behaviour support. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide tailored assistance to students, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized behaviour management plans.
  • Support students in developing positive behavior and social skills.
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students, ensuring they remain engaged and on task.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt classroom materials and activities to meet the needs of students with behavioral challenges.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Help maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development and training sessions related to behaviour management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in a behaviour support role, is highly desirable.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with behavioral needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
