Are you confident in managing a classroom and have previous suitable experience working within schools and with secondary aged students? Are you a recent College/University graduate who is looking for paid teaching experience? Are you a current cover supervisor or teaching assistant looking for a new role or additional work?
AK Teaching are looking for Cover Supervisors to work in a partner Secondary School in Bradford BD8, from as soon as possible! We are hoping to find 2 suitable candidates who can help the school during the busy end of year, with views to continue working with the school in the new academic year (Sept 2023). We are hoping to find Cover Supervisors who can work a minimum of 3 days a week 8am -3:30pm. As these are entry level roles previous experience is not essential as training and help will be given along the way.
Cover supervisors are suitably-trained school staff who supervise pupils carrying out pre-prepared exercises when teaching staff are on short-term absence. The cover supervisor’s main job is to manage the classroom, ensuring that students are safe and remain on task with the work they have been set.
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
• Hours – 8:00am – 3:30pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous experience working in a UK secondary school or working with young people is beneficial but not essential
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year – we can help with this by placing you on our partner course!
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH AK TEACHING YOU MUST:
• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application (we can assist with this)
• Provide two professional references
