Job Description:
We are seeking caring and motivated 1:1 Support Assistant’s to provide tailored support to students. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to ensure that the individual receives the guidance and assistance necessary to succeed in their daily activities and long-term goals.

Challenging behaviours are to be expected in the environment due to the students’ additional learning needs, and potentially childhood trauma’s etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to student, helping them with their daily tasks and activities.
• Assist in the implementation of individualised learning or development plans.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
• Promote independence and confidence in the student.
• Adapt resources and strategies to meet the individual’s needs.
• Ensure a safe and positive environment for learning and development.

Requirements:

• Experience working with individuals with additional learning needs is highly desirable, however not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to remain calm in a challenging and potentially hostile environment.
• A commitment to promoting inclusion and equality.
