    JOB DESCRIPTION - AK Teaching is working in partnership with a school in Darlington to recruit a welfare assistant to help support children with Profound and multiple learning difficulties.

    ROLE - The Role will involve supporting children with profound and multiple learning difficulties with their day to day needs within the school this may include
    Feeding
    Changing and personal hygiene
    Helping to engage students with learning through the use osensory learning activities

    CANDIDATE - Our ideal candidate will have experience supporting children and young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties. Candidates with a background in the care or nursing industry would also be considered.
    skills such as
    Moving and Handling training
    Tracheostomy care
    Safe administration of medication
    would be advantageous but not necessary.
